Kyle Busch held off Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 car’s furious last lap challenge to claim the Cheez-It™ 355 on Sunday afternoon at Watkins Glen International.  It was redemption of sorts for Busch, who led the most laps during the previous two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at The Glen, but could not secure the top spot to claim the checkered flag in either contest. Indiana native Ryan Newman scored his first victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, taking advantage of a pit stop glitch by Jimmie Johnson. For Newman it was his first opportunity to kiss the bricks and he did so from the pole position.

After four years of health scares and unemployment put his career in doubt, Brian Vickers earned redemption by being the surprise winner at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Johnson became the first driver in 31 years to sweep Daytona International Speedway, accomplishing the feat with a dominating run in the Coke Zero 400. It was Johnson's fourth win of the season. The Daytona 500 winner is the first driver since Bobby Allison in 1982, and the fifth overall, to win both races in a season at Daytona.
